Last night, my lady and I had the opportunity to go see Star Wars Episode I in 3D ( being such a nerd, I bet you are surprised I have a girlfriend). Let me just start off by saying I am, by no means, a HUGE Star Wars fan. However, I do enjoy the series and have a fond memory of my oldest Brother, Brandon, taking me and a couple of friends to see Episode I for my 9th birthday.
The re-release of this film was a major, steaming pile of bantha poodoo. I expected to see some spectacular effects in the 3D aspect, but was sorely disappointed. They had an opportunity to make it awesome, but failed miserably.
I highly discourage anyone from wasting their money on such an endeavor.
Now I am calling upon Mr. Patton Oswalt to really fulfill his vision, acquire a time machine, and go back to kill George Lucas with a shovel.
May the for.... I'm not even going there.

I seem to have a history of taking my younger brothers to movies that are total shit. I do believe I took Aaron to see both Casper AND D2: The Mighty Ducks. To be fair I feel that I've more than made up for it with the current cinema I've turned you on to.
ReplyDeleteThat you have sir. Although my first memory of spending any sort of time with you was when we went to go see Casper for my 5th birthday.
