Jam of the Day Feb 19th 2012

Well here we are again for the next installment of my jam collection. If you are still with us and plan to continue following, you'll notice a lot of my collection is that of a Ska/Reggae/Punk genre. If you're one of those people that say, " I listen to everything" because you can't decide for yourself what your likes/dislikes are, you are just plain wrong and should crank your Good Charlotte   album until your eardrums burst and continue to bleed you out. Granted there are a few of you which I permit to claim you are well-rounded listeners. But, most of you are liars and are afraid to admit what your preferences are, as it may discredit you amongst your musically inclined friends or colleagues.

Moving on, today's jam comes to us from a Ska/Reggae band called The Supervillains from St. Cloud, Florida. They started up in 1998 and have moved up in the ranks in the last few years to jam in the same league as Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, The Expendables, and many more. Their music style is much like that of any typical Ska/Reggae ensemble including a couple of gooseflesh inducing cover songs.

There is not much of an extended history to tell, as of yet, for The Supervillains but I guarantee they will secure a well-deserved location in every modern-day rude boy's music collection.

This track, titled, "20 Excuses" comes from the band's 2006 album Grow Yer Own. It reminds me of about this time last year when things were changing in my life for the better and I knew that this was only the beginning of my metamorphosis into an awesome adulthood experience.

Have yourself a listen
and maybe I'll see you at the next Supervillains concert.
